This mesquite wood is from the Texas area and purchaed at a turning symposium, brought to Kansas and turned into its &' wide by 2.5" tall shape. This is a softer wood and finihsed with a wipe-on poly and waxed to this finished shine. Waxed annually will keep its shine, but please dont run this through your dishwasher. This wood is not only great turning wood but make a great smoker wood.
