I grew up working with my father in his carpentry shop building kitchen cabinets and small pieces of furniture.  After attending a technical school to learn drafting techniques my wife and I returned home to work with my father in  his construction business.  We built new buildings for over 12 years.  Our family moved on to allow me to teach construction trade to entry level persons.  I was asked to join the city staff as a building inspector and planning director. I enjoyed municipal government administration and moved our family to four small communities to assist in city management.

Recently retiring we have returned to wood working specializing in lathe work.  I enjoy designing and constructing pens, bowls and vases, and especially enjoy working with segmented wood turning.
